About the Aston Martin DBX
The Aston Martin DBX takes the idea of a grand tourer further than ever. For all of the incredible performance associated with Aston Martin grand tourers, they are ultimately still meant to be road trip vehicles. So Aston Martin built one with tons of cargo space and a back seat, all without sacrificing the supercar levels of performance that set Aston Martin GT cars apart from the pack in the first place. And for all the space offered by the SUV body, the DBX looks leaner and more athletic than the boxy SUVs offered by other automakers. The DBX comes in two varieties: the DBX707, which emphasises the luxury side of the DBX, and the DBX S, which comes with a bit more power and emphasises the incredible performance of the DBX. Both versions are extensively customizable and give you an unmatched experience behind the wheel.
What The Critics Say
“Aston Martin’s gorgeous and heroic sports cars are car-enthusiast dreams come true, but real life sometimes requires something more practical. Enter the 2026 DBX, which offers all the same style and athleticism of an Aston two-door with a cargo-and-family-friendly SUV form factor. With a twin-turbo V-8 engine under its shapely hood, the DBX accelerates like a supercar, hitting 60 in just 3.1 seconds at our test track.” - Car & Driver
“The DBX707 is a proper hoot. Even naughtier exhaust note, wild acceleration and a lust for life (and the far horizon) that is genuinely surprising and thrilling from an SUV.” - Top Gear
What’s New For 2026
Aston Martin introduced a new S variant of the DBX for 2026, with 20 more horsepower and a unique grille. More than a hundred pounds have been trimmed to make the DBX S, with changes that include a carbon fiber roof that lowers the center of gravity through weight savings. The interior also gets a number of styling changes befitting this performance-oriented variant.
Aston Martin DBX Features
Supercar Performance
Under the sculpted hood of the DBX sits a 4.0-liter quad-cam V8 with a pair of “hot-V” turbochargers. The block is made from aluminum alloy, with Zirconium alloy heads and aluminum forged pistons and connecting rods. The result of all of this is 697 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque, or if you opt for the DBX S, 717 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough power to send this comfortable SUV with a back seat and generous cargo space from 0 to 60 in just 3.1 seconds, fully supercar territory. But it’s not just raw power that imbues the DBX with this kind of performance. It also comes with features like a 9-speed lightweight cast magnesium bodied automatic gearbox, a multi-plate wet clutch with oil cooling, an electronic rear limited-slip differential, and a "thru-sump" mounted front differential with equal length front drive shafts.
Luxury Interior
The interior of the DBX is its raison d’etre, offering more room to stretch out and more seats than you get in other Aston Martin vehicles. Close attention was paid to details, down to the knurled switches and dials that provide a satisfyingly solid feel. The cabin is adorned in leather, Alcantara™, carbon fiber, Ziricote, or a wide selection of other materials to suit your preference. Q by Aston Martin also offers a huge range of colors to choose from, allowing you to specify the seat upholstery, stitching, seat belt, headliner, and carpet colors, among others. The DBX comes with an 800-watt, 14-speaker premium audio system that is bound to impress. But for the audiophiles out there, there is an available Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound Audio System that features 1,600 watts and 23 speakers.
Advanced Technology
Advanced technology has improved every aspect of the DBX, from engine responsiveness to how you listen to music. Advanced materials allow for features like the one-piece carbon fiber propeller shaft, which is strong but also lightweight, cutting down on rotating mass and making for a more responsive drivetrain. The “hot V” configuration, which nestles both turbochargers inside the V of the engine, comes directly from the world of Formula 1 and allows the turbochargers to respond to changes in engine speed more quickly. There are also advanced carbon ceramic brakes, so you can stop as urgently as you take off. The DBX comes with five adaptive drive modes, letting you switch between hard-charging performance driving, comfortable cruising, off-road conditions, and more. The DBX is also one of the few vehicles available with Apple CarPlay Ultra, which gives you even more seamless integration with the phone that you carry with you everywhere already.
Variants
DBX707
The DBX707 balances the high-performance side of the DBX with a refined and decidedly English sense of luxury. It is perfectly suited for all kinds of activities, from serene highway cruising to high-speed corner carving. For this variant, the V8 engine produces 697 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque.
DBX S
The DBX S is the performance version of the DBX, with a more powerful engine (717 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque) and more than 100 pounds trimmed from the total weight. The interior is more sport-oriented, with additional bolstering for the seats, as well as S embroidery.
